When using snatch straps, it is crucial to prioritize safety and use them correctly. Keep all individuals involved in the recovery operation at a safe distance when taking up the strain. Never place the strap over a towball or wrap it around the axle, then pass a shackle through the end of the loop and back over the strap. This can cause the strap to tighten around the axle and potentially be cut if there are sharp edges present.

Our snatch straps are manufactured with high-quality webbing and include anti-recoil straps for added safety. We offer both stock lengths and the option to order custom lengths according to your requirements. The snatch straps are made from nylon webbing that can stretch up to 10-15% before reaching full effect.

To ensure proper function, we recommend using 6T shackles for the anti-recoil strap, with two shackles required.

The 9-meter, 75,000Kg rated snatch strap weighs approximately 18kg. It is suitable for SP Harvesters, SP Boomsprays, large 4WD and air-seeder combinations, as well as B-Double and Road Trains. These snatch straps can handle pulling forces of approximately 450-500HP (wheeled tractors).

For secure fastening, we recommend using a 25-tonne rated shackle that suits the 75,000Kg snatch strap. The shackle weighs 7.2kg and has a 43mm pin.

It is highly recommended to use a bridle on the stuck vehicle, especially for SP Sprayers and Harvesters. The bridle allows for a center line pull, which helps control the direction of the pull and distributes the load to two points on the stuck vehicle. The 75,000Kg rated 6-meter bridle is designed for this purpose.

For the bridle, two 12-tonne rated shackles are required. Please note that straps can be custom-made to your desired length within 2-5 working days.

It is essential to follow the instructions precisely, secure the anti-recoil straps whenever supplied, and use common sense at all times. During destruction tests using a purpose-built test bench, our straps are designed to break at the sewing ends to form the eye.

If you observe any cuts or damage to the webbing strap, please do not use it and replace it with a new one.
